History

According to a 2016 article “Food Hardship in America” published by Food Research and Action Center (FRAC), over 42.2 million Americans homes face food hardships. Alabama ranks number 9 within the top 15 states that has the highest food hardship rate of households with children in America..   Orlando-Kissimmee-Sanford, Florida ranks #18 within the cities that has the highest food hardship rate of households with children in America. They have a food hardship rate of 22.7% which is an increase of 1.2% in their food hardship rate from the previous study in 2012 where they ranked #10.

 

Since the beginning of 2012 Toni’s Touch instituted the “Feed my Lambs” Program, where we offer free hot lunch to children.  The meals served are nutritious covering each of the four basic food groups.  Thanks to the ongoing support of our community partners: WalMart, Sams Club, Star Meats, Burger King, Cato, Publix and the Orange County and Pike County Communities.
